Meet Your Attorney

Jingyi (Helen Yu) Ambrose

The firm is led by Attorney Jingyi Ambrose, also known as Helen, a Boston-based immigration attorney serving clients nationwide. Helen is licensed to practice law in Massachusetts, New York, and China. Because immigration law is federal in nature, she represents clients across the United States and has assisted thousands of individuals, families, and businesses in a wide range of immigration matters.

With nearly ten years of experience, Helen regularly advises companies, universities, and organizations on complex employment-based immigration matters, including EB-1, EB-2 NIW, PERM, EB-3, and religious worker EB-4 cases, and has successfully guided many investors through the EB-5 process. As a former H-1B visa holder herself, she also has a strong understanding of the challenges faced by foreign professionals and provides practical guidance on work visas such as H-1B, O-1, L-1, TN, E-2 and other nonimmigrant visas.

Helen received her Master of Laws (LL.M.) from Boston University School of Law and holds a Bachelor of Laws (LL.B.) from East China University of Political Science and Law (华东政法大学). She is fluent in English and Mandarin Chinese.

How do I know which visa or green card option is right for me?

We review your goals, background, and timelines, then recommend the most viable options and next steps.

What documents will I need?

It depends on the category, but typically includes identity documents, immigration history, and evidence supporting eligibility.

How long will my case take?

Processing times vary by case type and agency. We provide realistic timelines and keep you updated as your case moves forward.

Can I apply from inside the U.S. or do I need consular processing?

That depends on your current status, eligibility, and travel history. We help determine the safest and most efficient path.
